The Destruction of a Life, Birth of a Nation

According to The World Health Organization, Every year there are many cases of abortion all around the world; approximately forty five million abortions each year. Therefore there are approximately 125,000 abortions per day. Perhaps a woman could be raped or maybe a baby could be diagnosed with a defect. However, a tragedy is not answered with another and the circumstances surrounding a pregnancy are tragic. People who do not have anyone to teach them about sexual education or do not inform themselves about this matter are most exposed to this common problem. People should inform themselves to avoid this matter and others such as sexually transmitted diseases (STD), and begin to make use of the methods of contraception that nowadays the medicine is offering to us.

Abortion commonly happens in teenagers from fifteen years old to twenty years old. It also happens in adults who are irresponsible about their sexual lives. In most cases abortion takes place because there is very little education or orientation from parents to their children. Parents often feel ashamed when their children ask questions about sexuality such as “mom how babies are born?” Or, “dad what is sex means?” Not knowing that for not giving to their children the right education their future would be drastically affected if they get a sexually transmitted disease (STD). These teenagers are highly exposed to sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, herpes genital, syphilis, human papillomavirus, and others. This happens because they are not using contraceptives methods for two important reasons, particularly because they do not know about these methods and because their parents have never spoken to them about sexuality.

Some of the most common places where teenagers could get a sexually transmitted disease (STD) are the nightspots where they drink a lot alcohol under the influence from friends. While under the influence of alcohol, they live in an illusory and unreal world where reasoning is completely cancelled which involves them to have sexual relations without proper protection.

There are several methods that people can use to prevent none desire pregnancy and STD’s like for example: combined oral contraceptive pill, spermicides, condoms, vaginal contraceptive ring, and the most important and most commonly natural family planning. However, the best and most effective way to prevent abortion is to teach and educate people at an early age about contraceptives methods.

Researches have show that a large number of teenagers have no information about how reproduction works or the changes that happen in their bodies. Abortion’s Clinics are exhorting parents not to feel embarrassing and uncomfortable when they are having a conversation with their teenagers about sexuality, it is necessary to inform them properly.
