From my viewpoint I believe that the Americans took more advantage in the Cuban missile crisis in great part the president john Kennedy considering not only like an hero for his nation but also gaining audience in all the parts of the world by facing the conflict without damaging the world peace and taking in place a nuclear war. .

Because of the unsuccessful bay of pigs and the setting of medium nuclear missiles in turkey, Italy ,and great Britain threatening the Russian’s security .Khrushchev thought up a way of confronting to America with more than words sending nuclear missiles in Cuba. At making these strategies he initially was considered like a hawk and ingenious man .One of his first objective was provoking a psychological damage which dragged the USA into a panic without knowing what reasonable decision to take in this critical situation where many American lives are danger . Fortunately , the Russians did not get their own way from the situation because Khrushchev’s plan didn’t result what he exactly expected .One of these constrains for the Russians was the new president’s attitude ,john Kennedy, and his advisors called the EXCOM .however, firstly they showed the opposite in the bay of pigs reflecting their inability to stop communism expansion . soonly they would be able to show their capacity during the crisis at overcoming and dealing with any obstacle that the Russians put them .A clear example , the blockade which was a brinkmanship decision but the most logical and flexible option for a critical situation like that.

Another problem for Russia that it left john Kennedy and his advisors gain more advantage of the situation was Khrushchev ‘s weakness and his incapacity in the management crisis. A clear example , accepting USA’s proposal “ removing the nuclear missiles from Cuba in exchange that USA promise not to invade Cuba “. this decision sounded as an great target for Khrushchev ,but not for all the Russian government and his allies (Japan and Cuba ) SINCE from the view point of many of them it seemed that he had backed down and conceded all the key points to Kennedy. thereby he reflected weakness and finally was considered like a dove or soft removing from his position. As a consequence, this fact undermined the diplomatic relationship with Japan .furthermore, Fidel Castro felt betrayed at not obtaining the target that he always waited eagerly a nuclear war between Russia and USA even this would include the destruction of his own nation .

In conclusion, thanks to Kennedy’s great ability to deal with the conflict and making flexible decisions , the way he came up against any Russian obstacle
