Peru is actually developing strong markets, due to globalization they are converting in multinational companies. The Most Admire Business of Peru 2014, rewards the ten most successful business of the country. The winners were: Alicorp, Antamina, Backus, BCP, Belcorp, Ferreyros, Gloria, Graña and Montero, Interbank and Kimberly-Clark. Being the winner entails a challenge and a huge responsibility: Continue being a model for other business in the country. This ten winners have been evaluated according to eight categories: Strategic vision, Financial management, Managerial Leadership, Commercial and Marketing Strategy, Talent Management, Innovation capacity, Corporative Government, and Corporate Social Responsibility. So, the question is, what are the reasons for their success? In this essay we will explain the reasons of success of each company.

Alicorp

This company dedicates in developing industrial consume products. The core competences of this company is their strategic vision and their commercial and marketing focus. Paolo Sacchi, CEO, with the other staff members establish a strategic vision, for guide them in their decisions. Their vision is centered in how to keep costumers satisfy in all moment for triplicate the company value for 2021. This vision will help them to walk in the correct path and to grow in a straight way in the next seven years. In addition, their commercial and marketing focus is found in the inspiration and innovation inside their principal business platforms and in the strength of their competitive advantages. Sacchi strongly believe that if your business focus in generating values and welfare for the society , they will cause a greater impact. This innovative way of thinking is one of the factors that have make Alicorp grow and gain a big percentage of market share.

Antamina

On the other hand, this company is the most successful mining in all Peru, is located in Ancash. As Abraham Chahuán said in the interview their core competence are their workers. Actually, according to Peru data they have 2558 employees. For the company, the most important thing is motivation, because they believe that if their employees are concern and dedicate at full to their work the result will be better. Additionally, they don’t common use non-financial motivators, they are more likely to recognize the best employees and give some “special gifts”. Also, they believe that CSR is a key factor for success. By the fact that it manage directly to your image and your values.

Backus

This company is specialize in selling alcoholic drinks ( Cristal, Pilsen Callao, Cusqueña, Backus Ice, etc) Which make this company successful is caused specifically by three factors. The first one is that they believe in continue innovation. The other factor, is their commercial and marketing strategy which is very well done for all their 14 brands. For last their financial management, is based in their local opportunities, and their objectives. As Zavala, CEO, says they compare their growth with the percentage of the last year, and in that way establish higher objectives.

Belcorp

As their official web-site mention they are “a corporation committed with the beauty and personal realization of millions of Latin America women.” They are very well known because of their Strategic Vision and their Commercial performance. Referring to what Eduardo Belmont said they always focus on the strength of their brands, by consequence, the market research and the development of their products. Also, their success in their strategic vision is demonstrated in their local expansion.

Ferreyros

This company is the leader in the market, it commercialists goods of capital, and provision of it. In addition, it also deliver Caterpillar’s products as well as other well-known brands’ products. Ferreyros out stand in Financial Management and in Corporative Government. Ferreyros is most known because of its activities in the stock market and for be involved in huge inversions on different projects. In other words, they are direct stakeholders of the Peruvian economy.

Interbank

Is a very recognize bank in Peru, that have a lot of market share, that have gotten by the time prestige. In 2014, it have been named the bank that have more presence in social networks in Peru. Interbank is the bank that have grown faster that any other bank nationally. The CEO, Castellanos, thinks that their success is based on their cultural values.They believe that maintaining employees comfortable ,in long term will return in profits.
