The method used in the teaching-learning process is the fundamental basis for determining whether the employed techniques work or not. The success of teaching depends on learning. During this process different factors influence such as the characteristics of the student, linguistic factors, the context, the method used and the age of the students.

Being forced by the university to learn the basics of a language is a challenge for the students; b[a]ut having an experienced teacher can help make the learning process a little easier. The teacher should be aware of this situation, he [b]knows that the student's motivation is extrinsic. He is also conscious that they are adults with already developed learning strategies and is aware that the learners come from different BA programs so their minds work more different than it would be if they were from the same BA programs. In addition, the teacher has an important role in this process since he oversees giving the students the tools to develop a second language.

Being recently graduated comes with a wider perspective of what students expect to learn from their teachers. Especially because a teacher who starts this profession have previously experienced [f]different teaching methods to optimize their own learning. Teaching lexical and grammatical elements is essential but it is not the only or most important factor since the aim of this compulsory course is for the students to get the ability to communicate in another language. So[g], it would be helpful to also develop listening and speaking skills.
