The causes of the Second World War

Hitler was bitterly angry because of the Treaty of Versailles and he was determined to call it off. With this aim in mind, he set up a plan which was based on the idea of recovering the power of the country by means of armed-struggle. Apart from that, he was eager to destroy Communism. This desire of revenge led directly to the Second World War.

Among his intentions, Hitler wanted to take over the los territories of the Rhineland, the Sudetenland and the Polish Corridor. Besides, he looked for a powerful empire dominated by Germany.

He hated Communists and considered them an inferior race. Western countries allowed Hitler to do whatever he wanted in Eastern Europe because they thought he was the strongest Politian capable of destroying Communism.

Shortly after he came to power in 1993 he started to rearm Germany. Rearmament was the most important resource they needed to succeed in recovering lands and destroying Communism. As these foreign policies were all forbidden, Hitler had the ability to make it in secret.

In spite of the fact that the Allies did everything they could to punish Germany after the First World War, Hitler managed to elude all the restrictions imposed to Germany by the Treaty of Versailles. Since Communism was a greater menace to Western Europe than Germany, Hitler was able to succeed in his plans. When France and Britain acknowledge how powerful Germany was becoming, it was already too late. Second World War broke out.
