Thesis: “Unintelligent bodies do not act towards an end.”

Argument:

Mayor: Natural bodies act towards an end.

Minor: All natural bodies are intelligent.

Conclusion: Therefore unintelligent bodies cannot act towards an end.

Refutation:

I concede the mayor and deny the minor: I concede that indeed, all natural bodies act towards an end, but deny that all natural bodies are intelligent.

And I deny the conclusion.
