The company Cement Mexicans (CEMEX) was founded in 1906 by Lorenzo Zambrano, after the merger cements and cement Hidalgo Monterrey.

The company began operations in 1920 with a capacity of 20.000 tons per year.

Since 1985, led by Regiomontanus, Lorenzo Zambrano Triviño (grandson of the founder) who based CEMEX investing millions took to be one of the most important multinational cement in the world. In Mexico owns 60% of the domestic market. Cement is the third most important group in the world.
