Identify and interpret transaction-related expressions in classified ads

Stage(s):

–Select a product of interest to students and determine general characteristics, price, and data to obtain it.

–Determine typography, colors and images of the advertisement considering its purpose, intended audience and message, based on a model.

–Establish the order and proportion of graphic and textual components.

–Design the advertisement including all of its elements.

–Check that graphic and textual information is complete, reliable, and credible. Doing with the language (Activities):

-Present different kinds of advertising (television commercial, radio spot, etc.) identify them and describe the product.

- Knowing about the language

(Background):

Vocabulary: television commercial, radio spot, billboard, flyer, small ads, big, small, cheap, expensive, fair, blue, pink, yellow, black, white, red, gray, orange, purple, numbers, hundred, thousand, dollars, slogan

Achievements:

• Identifies function, purpose, and intended audience.

• Identifies graphic and textual components.

• Reads prices, telephone numbers, and e-mail and/or home addresses aloud.

• Dictates and enlist names and characteristics of products.

• Completes sentences to form the content of ads.

• Writes classified ads.
