Machismo

Previously women in society had no rights. In the past, only men could enjoy privileges such as:

-Education

-The vote

-Work; among many others.

Currently, many of these privileges already enjoyed by women. But I recognize that in our country continue to exist, several cases of machismo.

No doubt some of these cases can be observed in the families and friends, work or street.

Briefly society often can be found in situations of machismo. Effect: Many times people who suffer from this not raise your voice to be enforced on people (women).

The call sexism corresponds to a particular way of organizing gender relations in societies where strong ethnic and racial differences exist. Also machismo, has been defined as the obsession with male dominance and virility manifested in the sexual conquest of women; is a set of laws, rules, attitudes and cultural features of the man whose explicit aim has been to produce, maintain and perpetuate slavery and submission of women at all levels: sexual, creative, and emotional labor.

It is a set of attitudes and behaviors that unfairly demean the dignity of women compared with men.

Machismo also depends on different cultures for example, Afghan women have to dress so that they will not see any part of the body. There are some cultures that remove the clitoris for girls who can’t get pleasure through intercourse. Elsewhere limit or hinder the access of women to college, culture or management positions; try q women think, dress or behave like the man; consider women as sex objects for male use and taste. Pornography today has boomed in recent years, is clearly sexist that lowers the dignity of the person making it sexual object.

According to U.S. James B. Canel, almost three decades ago, defined machismo as well: It's an exaggeration of manhood in which the ostentatious vanity, self-love bravado and narcissism predominate scratch.

Machismo goes way back, it was in those days when a neopagan progress reinvented the word "citizens" forgetting that the foundation of a happy community may not be the individual but the family. He then raised without distinguishing perpetrators of victims a monument to Solo city, the great man, the bachelor, the pirate, bandit, the divorced, with the sort of wanderer family q lives in a world marked by things as unfeminine as law and politics. Thus began for less PRECIAR and ridicule that small independent kingdom which should be every family. And men began to leave home with other air, and go about their "business" with the modern mentality of "busy man" that costs nothing to his wife. The father of the family became the typical Sunday and the woman continued to make love with what I knew, but had already begun to lose her man and woman become vase.

In different areas of daily life we can see reflected machismo, such as:

1 - In marriage: polygamy is clearly sexist. In practice divorce laws are sexist, because reality has shown that women tend to leave more injure.

2 - Clarification of the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic religion only men can be priests. No disrespect but if at first glance clear exclusion.

Machismo, assuming that while this phenomenon is the development of cultural forms, an individual phenomenon updates cultural patterns.

A particular way in which the male role based on the myth of men over women and the authority in its own right has on them.

Attitudes consist of three components: a cognitive component that relates to beliefs, perceptions about the attitude object. An affective component related to the positive or negative value that we assign to that object, and finally a behavioral conative component is expressed in behaviors of hostility or support regarding the attitude object.

Machismo, then it would become a cultural construct, based on the story of the evolution of the socialization of gender roles.

Now we know that sexism may constitute an "attitude" that aims , more than women , the feminine, bone around the symbolic environment surrounding the figure of women in our society , the content of this attitude is based on the myth of male superiority , so it can be argued that it is explicitly negative towards the possibilities of spiritual development of women , paradoxically man , which constitutes an early victim of its institutional forms that guide the formation of men to the suppression of expression of emotionality and sensitivity because of homophobia on the part of parents.

The idea that the male is superior to female assumes a certain marginalization of women in society. Formerly the woman was considered as a single object, and q not have the same rights as men, the man was superior to it. This unfortunately is happening now: abuse, lowest fees in the works and so on.
