RESUMEN

La presente investigación se realizó con la finalidad de analizar las medidas gubernamentales que se han aplicado en los temas de desempleo, caída del PBI, la pobreza monetaria, el autoempleo e informalidad durante la Pandemia del COVID -19 - PERÚ-2020.

La actividad económica en el país tocó fondo en abril y se recuperó lentamente en mayo y junio, pero se mantiene muy por debajo de su nivel anterior al brote (de la pandemia) y del año 2019.

En el caso del Perú, el Banco Mundial predice que este año sufriremos una caída significativa del PBI. Perú no solo es el sexto país del mundo con más casos de coronavirus, también se convertirá en la segunda nación con la peor caída económica en América Latina, y la tercera a nivel mundial. Nuestro cálculo considera una economía global en recesión y una alta volatilidad en los mercados financieros, así como en el precio del petróleo y en el precio de nuestros productos minerales y de agroexportación. Además, se espera una paralización completa en el sector turismo, que es la tercera fuente de divisas.

El país andino lleva más de 100 días de confinamiento, y más de 2 millones de peruanos han perdido sus puestos de trabajo.  El empleo informal, que hasta antes de la emergencia sanitaria era más del 72% podría llegar hasta un 80%, según algunos analistas.

ABSTRACT

The present research was carried out in order to analyze the government measures that have been applied in the areas of unemployment, falling GDP, monetary poverty, self-employment and informality during the COVID -19 Pandemic - PERU-2020.

Economic activity in the country bottomed out in April and recovered slowly in May and June, but remains well below its level prior to the outbreak (of the pandemic) and in 2019.

In the case of Peru, the World Bank predicts that this year we will suffer a significant drop in GDP. Peru is not only the sixth country in the world with the most cases of coronavirus, it will also become the second nation with the worst economic decline in Latin America, and the third in the world. Our calculation considers a global economy in recession and high volatility in financial markets, as well as in the price of oil and in the price of our mineral and agro-export products. In addition, a complete stoppage is expected in the tourism sector, which is the third largest source of foreign exchange.

The Andean country has been in confinement for more than 100 days, and more than 2 million Peruvians have lost their jobs. Informal employment, which until before the health emergency was more than 72% could reach up to 80%, according to some analysts.
