Dear Editor,
I’m writing in response of the suggestion made for the new review page included in the magazine. But, firstly I would like to express my gratitude for all the inspiring books I have discovered since I read your magazine. Although I do not usually answer to this type of request, I have an exceptionally brilliant proposal for your new section: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.
In this story, Percy, a twelve-years-old demigod and son of Poseidon, who recently discovered his newfound divine powers, is accused by Zeus of stealing the master lightning bolt. Throughout the narrative, Percy has to contend with the challenge of self-discovery, figure out how to establish a better understanding with his father, whose existence he recently discovered, and save the Olympians from Zeus, who threatens to destroy the World.
Despite being just a boy, he manages to control his powers, learning how to properly use them and restores order to Olympus by identifying the real lighting thief and returning it to Zeus. Moreover, the intriguing aspect lies in the character's progression as he strives to enhance his relationship with his father that is aiding Percy in his maturation and understanding. Readers can mirror themselves in the relationship between these two characters and feel inspired by the demigod's way of dealing with it.
To sum up, the way Percy Jackson solves his conflicts can not only amuse readers but also has the potential to influence them in solving their personal problems with their loved ones.
Yours faithfully,
...
