Anecdote

A few months ago I had the opportunity to participate in a contest in the University, called the 5th meeting of university entrepreneurship, it’s like Odyssey of the Mind. It consist in a logical challenges and leadership has an important role if you want to win.

A requirement to participate was create a hat that represent our team, as the values, personality or motivation. And the process to realize the hat took us a month! Because we had homework and exams to do in those days. By the way, we finished the hat at the last day. Also, I remember how we were so happy even if we were stressed or pressed by the time, but Everardo made us laugh a lot! And I really appreciate it.

Saturday Morning, we woke up early to arrive to school. And when I arrive at school I started to distribute our presentation cards, which were very important because we could have had the opportunity to meet people by the other places.

Once we arrived to Pablo Livas, we took breakfast and talk with our teacher of biology, who told us advices and recommendations appropriate to the contest and I'm very thankful for that.

Once in the contest, while we were doing the challenges we realized that the contest was becoming a little more difficult. In the first two challenges, we only did the challenges and that's it, but we didn't motivate for do it better. All the team said their point of view about the way of work that we took in the challenges and how we could improve that, this moment was very important to the team.

Before to start the other challenge, we show to all participants our hat, and we explain each part of it. In the third challenge and the last one, we didn't say anything and we just were working in the challenge, and we obtained almost all the points that you could obtain.

And in the ceremony, we listened at the judges and I remember that moment, "And the first place is to Preparatoria 7". The team started to jump and laugh. We climb the platform and took the prize. We were so exciting because it was the first time that the school participate in this contest, and we had the opportunity to bring the first place.

I'm very thankful for this experience, because I learnt so much, how to be a leader, motivate, and how express that I want to say with objects.
