Dario Maestripieri is associate professor of Comparative Human Development and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Chicago. He has studied the behavior of rhesus macaques and other primates for over two decades at the University of Roma La Sapienza, the University of Cambridge, the Yerkes National Primate Research Center of Emory University, and the Caribbean Primate Research Center of the University of Puerto Rico. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and has received awards from the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, the American Psychological Association, and the National Institute of Mental Health. He is the author of over 125 scientifi c publications and editor of the book Primate Psychology (Harvard University Press, 2003). His research on macaque and human behavior is widely cited in the popular media.
