Abstract
In this essay I will respond the questions for this week assignment about political parties. According to the results of the typology test and the advocates for self government quiz I share some of the beliefs of the New Coalition Democrat Party and a Centralist Government.
My Political View According to the Assigned Surveys
I think the results of the surveys are accurate because according to my answers in the surveys my beliefs are similar to what the New Coalition Democrat and Centralist Government believe. The results of the political topology quiz revealed that my political vision leans towards the New Coalition Democrat and their beliefs are to work on the issues of technology policy, economic growth, security and personal responsibility. The New Coalition Democrat intent to modernize the vision of the Democratic Party and the Country’s; the New Democrats support policies to expand economic growth and ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to benefit from a fiscally responsible and efficient government, a secure home front, and a robust foreign policy that includes commercialization of products and trade, also a constructive U.S. leadership throughout the world with a modern and strong military.
The results of the advocates for self government quiz, I also think are accurate. The results showed that my beliefs lean towards a centrist government. A Centrist Government and the New Coalition Democrat have some similarities in their beliefs. Both share the thought that hard work and integrity will maximize citizen choice and responsibility which would increase public benefits. However Centrist Government usually agrees on an efficient government, fiscal responsibility and restraint, freedom of choice on personal issues and a strong diplomacy and national defense.
The Green party of United States closely relates in some aspects to the New Coalition Democrat Party and also relates to a centrist government. The Green Party advocates for a participatory democracy, social justice and equal opportunity for the people; it supports ecological balance and sustainable society. Also the Green Party encourages technological innovation, gender equity along with respect for cultural diversity. The Green Party seeks to assure that economic development, new technologies, and fiscal policies are responsible to future generations who will inherit the results of our actions.
In my point of view I do not see any of the third parties growing in popularity because each of them has big flaws on their platforms. The Constitution Party, for example is against homosexual marriage and it is against any involvement in international issues. Now days many states have approved homosexual marriage, and there are many heterosexual people that support this life-style. Concerning the involvement of the United States into international affairs many people think that our intervention can prevent future damage in other countries. The Green party advocates for cutting down the defense budget of the nation and reducing the military. This action would leave United States almost defenseless against any act of terrorism or retaliation. The Libertarian Party advocates for the repealing the income taxes and the abolishment of the Internal Revenue Service. The removal of the income tax would leave our country without any revenue and this would contribute to an accumulated enrichment of the big firms and companies. As mention above everyone and each of the third parties has important fallacies on their programs which make me think that none of them will grow on popularity on the upcoming years. The other smaller third parties are not even conventionally political parties, they do not have ballot access in any state,
