What is Tomorrowland?
It is much more than an electronic party. It is music but it is also fun, friendship, fireworks, parties, dance, lights and people from all countries celebrating. The settings and the atmosphere have a decoration that simulates a world of magic and fantasy. The festival offers a variety of subgenres of electronic music. It is a theme park for adults, it has more than 15 different scenarios. The festival is designed for fans of dance music.
It all started in the mind of the Beers brothers. Michiel and Manu worked for the events company ID&T, the idea of doing an electronic music event on the outskirts of Boom, Belgium was created by them; the contacts they had helped to give life and shape to their idea, the first edition of Tomorrowland was created in the DeSchorre Provincial Recreational Area, on August 11, 2005.
The event started small, it lasted one day and one of the most striking things about it was the sound and the sculptures, but it was not thematic as it currently is. Only Belgian residents could attend the show, so attendance was limited to 9,000 people; By the year 2013, the ID&T company was sold by the Beers brothers to the American company LiveStyle, since the sale Tomorrowland became a great brand and began to do other Shows around the world.
The festival began to have more days of durability and now Tomorrowland takes place on two weekends, this event handles fantasy themes and has the participation of new DJ's, such as Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Skrillex and others, exceeding the sum of 400 DJ's in action; Since that year, the popularity of the festival around the world has been on the rise. From then until today, many people have as one of their life dreams, to attend and enjoy each day of Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland has lodging and a food court, but this has an additional cost. The area where people stay in tents or glamping is called “Dream Ville”; No “real” money is handled in Tomorrowland; at the event there are lockers where you can recharge the bracelets with money. Tomorrowland's currency is called pearls and is cashed in them. Each pearl has a value of 1.6 euros, in addition, it has gyms, restaurants with food from various countries, hairdressers, clothing stores, tattoo studios, a supermarket and the official Tomorrowland store.
