Luis Andrés Caicedo Estela (Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, September 29, 1951 - of March 1977) was a Colombian writer born in Cali, Valle del Cauca, the city where he spent most of his life. Despite his premature death, his work is considered one of the most original in Colombian literature.
Caicedo led different cultural movements in the city like the literary vallecaucana the dialogical group, the Cinema Club of Cali and the Cinema Eye magazine. Son of Carlos Alberto Caicedo and Nellie Estela, the writer Andrés Caicedo vallecaucano was the youngest of four children and the only boy.
