Basilio Antonio Fergus conocido artísticamente como Basilio nació en la Ciudad de Panamá, 13 de octubre de 1947 y falleció el 11 de octubre de 2009 en Miami,fue un cantante panameño, que tuvo mucho éxito en las décadas 1970 y 1980. Desarrolló su carrera artística en España luego de haber ido a estudiar medicina a Francia. En 1969 lanza su primer single No digas adiós , El primer amor, grabado en Londres, demostró sus buenas aptitudes.

En 1972 consiguió el segundo premio en la primera edición del Festival OTI representando a Panamá con la canción Oh, Señor. Participó en numerosos festivales y continuó editando singles de mediana repercusión como Tal vez mañana, El tiempo vuela, Alguien entre otros.

En 1973 regresó a Panamá para representar a su país en el festival de la OTI, tras lo cual volvió a España para casarse por primera vez (lo haría otra vez más). Abandonó de nuevo el país y regresó en 1977, durante un breve periodo de tiempo que coincidió con el enorme éxito (el mayor de su carrera) de su tema Cisne cuello negro.

Viajó nuevamente a América y en 1983 su presentación en España de Como tú apenas tuvo repercusión. Ya en 1991 editó el álbum Si te hubiera conocido ayer, que tampoco se vio premiado con el favor del público. Pese a ello, lejos de retirarse, se mantuvo en activo y siguió actuando en galas y recitales, especialmente por Latinoamérica.

Fallecido en ciudad de Miami en el año 2009.
