Bunbury

Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izardui, is the real name popular spanish singer Enrique Bunbury, founding member and lead singer of the band “Heroes del Silencio” and now recognized as a soloist.

Bunbury was born in August 11th of 1967, in Zaragoza, Spain, since childhood, we began to feel a special inclination for music that would eventually start when he was twelve years old when he decided to buy his first electric guitar with five thousand pesetas wearing saved. His first group was Revelation in 1980, followed Rebel Waltz, Entropic and Juice Glass Process, a group that would be the seed of the famous “Heroes del Silencio”.

In 1984, Bunbury, Juan Valdivia and Pedro Andreu made “Heroes del Silencio”, with the help of a DJ and a music journalist. The band began to retrace his steps in his hometown and soon won the esteem of the public and most importantly : a contract with an EMI edit the first formal album which was quite common in those days. It would get a significant reception, and in less than a year came “El mar no cesa”, which immediately became platinum disc, “Mar Adentro” and “Flor de loto” were the most remembered of it.

Then, he made an album with Phil Manzanera, a former member of Roxy Music, to be the producer's next LP, and so it was that came senderos de traición in 1990. “Entre dos tierras” y “Maldito duende” became the new hits from the band. After much success, touring around the world there were problems with members of the band and they decided to split “Heroes del Silencio”.

Bunbury decided to make his first solo album called Radical sonora on 1997 followed by small without finding the same success as with heroes del silencio. Bunbury decided to take 1 year off to discover new genres and different music all over the world.

Flamingos in 2002 settle and mature his style, very different from everything. This album was the best of all, It had a great acceptance in America and Spain mainly.

And whatever happen apparently occurs in 2007: the return of Heroes del Silencio, after eleven years of separation, the group comes together to celebrate around ten concerts in Spain and America, after which they separated again and Bunbury took his solo career in full with Hellville de Luxe coming out in 2008 and Consequences in 2010. Finally in half-month leaves Palosanto, a long awaited album among all of their thousands of fans.
