Felipe Calderón

He was born in Morelia, Michoacán, on august 18, 1962, Mexican lawyer and politician .He is the current President of Mexico. He assumed office on December 1, 2006, and was elected for a single six-year term from December 1, 2006, to November 30, 2012. He is a member of the Acción Nacional Party(PAN), one of the three major Mexican political parties..

He married Margarita Zavala in 1993 and they have 3 children. In 1987 he graduated as a lawyer from the Libre de Derecho School in Mexico City. He studied a master degree in economy in the Instituto Tecnológico autónomo de México and a master degree in Public Administration in Harvard University.

Prior to the presidency, Calderón went on to work within the PAN while it was still an important opposition party. Calderón served as National President of the party, Federal Deputy, and Secretary of Energy in Vicente Fox's cabinet

He served in the cabinet of the previous administration up until he resigned to run for the Presidency and secured his party's nomination. The Federal Electoral Institute's official electoral results gave Felipe Calderón the largest vote total and the presidency but the decision was contested by Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Calderón's victory was confirmed on September 5, 2006 by the Federal Electoral Tribunal.

In his government, he has fought the drug trafficking, he started the famous “drug war”, this war has cost over 60000 lifes, but if he had not begun this war, the number of dead people would be bigger.

He invested in infrastructure like no other president in the Mexican History, he also made the laboral reform that will bring a lot of jobs to the Mexican citizens and it will also strengthen the rights of the workers.

He will give the executive power of mexico to Enrique Peña Nieto on December 1, 2012
