Luke: It´s a great day for a barbecue, grace.

Grace: Yes, it´s perfect - warm and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky!

Bella: Do you have have any ice, Grace?

Grace: Yes, i´ll get some from yhe kitchen.

Bella: Don´t worry. i´ll get it.

Grace: Thanks, bella. How´s the girll, luke?

Luke: It´s ready for the hamburgers. i´ll put them an now. Oh, and we´ll need some barbecue sauce.

Grace: Hold on. i´ll get it. Danny, there´s no music.

Danny: Oh, sorry. I´ll go and get the speakers.

Grace: Where are the paper cups and plates?

Bella: Don´t worry, Grace. Realx. I´ll get the paper cups and plates and the barbecue sauce from the kitchen. Shall i bring you a soda?

Grace: Oh, yes, thanks!.

LESSON 5 Exercise 2A and 2B.

Jenna: Mom, kte and claire want to go to a movie this afternoon. Can i go with them?

Mother: What about your chores, jenna? you con´t go any where until you finish them.

Jenna: Oh, Mom! By the time i finish my chores, it will be too late to go to the movie.

Mother: Not necessarily. Your sister has chores too. if you both work quichly, you´ll be able to go.

Carly: I don´t want to do my chores now! i´ll do them after i watch this TV show.

Mother: No, you girls need to do your chores before you do any thing else.

Jenna: Ok. I´ll take out the trash.

Carly: I´´ll wash the dishes, i guess.

Jenna: While you do that, i´ll vacuum the living room.

Mother: Well. i alreadu did the laundry. But someone needs to iron the clothes.

Carly:I´ll do that, as long as jenne puts the clothes away.

Jenna: And then can i go to the movie?

Mother: Yes, you can.

Violet: Did you watch ask your questions last night?

Nick: Yes, i did.

Violet: What did you think?

Nick: I thought it was interesting.

Violet: I didn´t. That woman, liz Evans, asked the senator some really boring questions.

Nick: Like what?

Violet: Well, she asked him what time he started work. She asked him if he could describe his job in one word. She even asked him how he had felt when he won the e.ection! Duh!.

Nick: That´s true, but some of her other questions were interesting.

Violet: Which ones?

Nick: Let ne see: What are the most important political issues today? What are you working on at the moment? How are you going to vote on the proposed tax increase? see? and the answers were interesting too.

Violet: Well, some of them of them, i guess.

Edith: What´s the matter?

Adam: Nothing, really.

Edith: You seem worried.

Adam: Well, ok, i am. i just don´t know what to do.

Edith: What´s the problem?
