Introduction______________________________________________________
Formerly called the Federal District is a special federal entity different from the 23 Federal States and Federal Agencies, established in Article 16 of the Constitution of Venezuela. Its capital is Caracas. Located in one of the main valleys of the Cordillera Central, near the shores of the Caribbean Sea. It is separated from them by the Cerro El Ávila whose height rises to 2,600 m.
Bordered on the north by the Caribbean Sea, on the east by the state of Miranda, on the south by the State of Miranda and Aragua and on the west by the state of Aragua.

He was part of the former province of Caracas. On February 29, 1864 the Constituent Assembly of the Federation Federal District provisionally erected. Its territory was between Caracas and La Guaira Maiquetía old state of Caracas.
It was created by the Constitution of 1999, replacing the Federal District which had been promoted by the Constituent Assembly of the Federation on February 29, 1864.

This condition has led to the migration process to the entity, to the point of reaching a population of 2. 114.871 inhabitants in 2012, by which ranks first with respect to the national total, with only 0.22% of the national territory .

Furthermore, all national folklore in the capital city groups and movements that they do every day to remember and rebirth.
