The function of each organism is related to the manner in which it obtains food and energy, because every living thing needs energy in order to survive. There are 3 roles:

PRODUCERS: They use sunlight and other substances from the environment to produce their own food. (PLANTS)

CONSUMERS: They obtain energy by eating other living things (Humans)

DECOMPOSERS: They transform the remains and waste left by other organisms into their food

IN THE FOOD CHAIN, THE ARROWS POINT WHERE THE ENERGY FLOWS, OR WHO FEEDS ON WHOM

EFFECTS OF HUMAN ACTIVITY ON ECOSYSTEMS

Many times people do not take the necessary precautions to protect the environment when they extract some resources, and this causes a great damage in the ecosystem.

ACTIVITIES THAT DAMEGE THE ECOSYSTEM

AGRICULTURE: It is necessary to first clean the land, which removes the native vegetation of the area. This affect the ecosystem because it leaves animals without their food and shelter. In addition, the use of pesticides to eliminate unwanted species that harm crops can also hurt other animals

INDISCRIMINATE HUNTING: Ancien people hunted to feed themselves, but today huntings is more of a sport. This activity can causes the EXTINTION of some species.

INDISCRIMINATE LOGGING: Many species of animals lose their shelter and food when forest are destroyed, which seriously damages the environment.
