Solid Rain

Looking for an alternative that may help mitigate the severe droughts that threaten food production Mexican engineer Sergio Jesus Rico developed an irrigation system called "solid rain" that rises almost 20 times the crop yield in arid areas.

WHAT IS SOLID RAIN?

Solid Rain is a potassium based powder which is capable of absorbing water up to 500 times its size. Solid Rain acts as a personal underground reservoir that retains water in the roots of any plant. This retained water is then slowly dispersed in the soil, keeping it constantly hydrated. Solid Rain helps encapsulate all the water that would regularly evaporate, making water available to any plant even in times of drought. Solid Rain encapsulates and disperses water for up to 8 years.

It has been used in more than 10 different countries, all with different success stories. Solid Rain helps people save water, money and time.

WHERE TO USE IT?

PLANTS &

AGRICULTURE

From home gardening to extensive agriculture, Solid Rain can help cut down more than just water costs. Solid Rain retains 33% of nutrients already found in the soil, saving you nearly 50% on fertilizer costs.

GRASS

Having nice and beautiful grass usually comes tied with a high water bill. Grass is one of the most water dependent plants found in everyday homes. With Solid Rain you will only need to water your grass once a week.

TREES

Delicious fruit is easily accomplished with Solid Rain. Having water always available to the roots of the trees makes the avocadoes riper, the mangoes sweeter and the apples crunchier.

The solid rain has been applied in the towns of Perote, Veracruz, La Piedad, Michoacan, and Topilejo, Punjab, India as well as crops of papaya, mango, peanuts, cotton, wheat and coconut palms.

In Colombia this novel method was applied irrigation in greenhouses of roses and carnations, "the results indicated a 75% saving in irrigation costs, 100% in increments of foliage and flowers, and 300% in root development."
