Literatura de los pueblos de habla inglesa

OBJETIVOS:

1.Iniciar al alumno en la metodología del seminario

2.Presentar los contenidos generales a cubrir durante el año lectivo .

INTRODUCCIÓN  

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF LITERATURE!!!!

I’m glad to know that on the other side ,there’s a group of nice people, since I have already worked with you last year, and for  the new ones, I hope we can have the chance of getting to know one another soon.

This seminar is about three aspects of written works of art , and we’ll analyse them: language, genre and literary movements  altogether in each of the literary pieces we choose to work with .

The first activity is to read the syllabus  and decide which books you‘d choose to read according to your liking.

Next you should consider whom you  would choose to work with, since all presentations are going to be in pairs.

Now ,as regards the contents we are going to cover in this class, I’ll just give you some general activities ,meanwhile I wait for you to give me the names of each pair, so we can start working properly on the books.

EL LENGUAJE LITERARIO  

-Comparación y contraste con otro tipo de discurso.

-Figuras y recursos literarios.

-El tono, tema y asunto .

EJE 2

LOS GENEROS LITERARIOS

-Elementos constitutivos de cada género, su conceptualización.

-Características formales .

• La poesía y  las canciones.
• La prosa: la ficción narrativa ( cuentos y novelas )  .
• - El teatro : a)tragedia y comedia ( drama)                       b) clásico  y moderno.  

– El comic   (Versión The tempest , Shakespeare )  

Eje 3 

Principales movimientos literarios

-Recorrido por los periodos Romántico, Moderno   y Postmoderno.

 Caracteristicas ,socioculturales e históricas de cada época  .
