The past simple is an English tense that is used to express actions that happened in the past and are now over. It is formed by adding the -ed ending to the end of the verb, if it is regular.
Positive sentences
Positive sentences in the past simple are formed as follows:
- Subject + verb in past simple + complement
Examples:

Negative sentences
