THIS IS HOW HIGH-END CELL PHONES ARE STOLEN IN SERVICE STORES

Once again the security cameras reveal the way organized gangs operate to take advantage of any carelessness and steal valuables. This time the victim was a cell phone vendor who was manipulated while taking out several smartphones in an unconventional way.

In the images you can see how a first member of the band details the corners of the store and warns that there is only one vendor on the site and proceeds to call the rest of the band. Seconds later enter supposed buyers that distract the worker.

Meanwhile, a young physiognomy man starts looking for something in the back. Find nothing. The sequence continues with an image as incredible as outrageous: the thief leans on the counter and makes incidents to remove several cell phones that were on the counter. He has so much time that he politely closes the showcase after the theft.

Immediately afterwards, all the henchmen leave the store one by one without the vendor even suspecting the maneuver that the thieves have just made.

According to figures from the Police, in 2014 more than 13,000 robberies were reported to commercial establishments in Colombia. Bogotá is the city that records the most robberies per year.

Only in 2015 the National Police has received 8,610 complaints for theft, in the same way it has captured 5,611 criminals linked to this crime and recovered 9,063 telephones. According to GSMA figures, in Colombia around 2.8 million cell phones are stolen per year, which means that daily they steal about 2,700 computers per day.

General Palomino acknowledged that behind these robberies there is a whole transnational mafia. The current trend is that stolen cell phones (or some parts of the devices) end up in stores in other countries in the region where the business model is the same as in any Colombian 'sanandresito'.
