Eveline
Introduction
One of the most difficult decisions in human life is to leave the security and stability of home. Departing with the familiar sounds and smells of home is an uneasy notion to fathom. Forgetting cherished childhood memories to begin all over again in a foreign country with no counsel or help is unpleasant and tough to accept. Moreover, to some people is the perfect way to escape from a life of suffering, even when the idea is frightening the right of happiness is enough to make a decision.
First body paragraph
In this story Eveline wants to scape, to live, to feel something other than pain and to live a life when she does not look after sibling like a mother. She sees Frank, a sailor who Eveline is madly in love, like a possibility of escape and finally has a new life, but the new is unknown and it scares Eveline and for her to remain in that condition of life makes her sad, but on the other hand the known is safer. Personally, I believe go away to start a new life full of love could be the best to Eveline, and to everyone who needs to change in life.
Second Body paragraph
The contemplation of leaving home is extremely frightening to most people. Eveline shares these common fears of failure and discomfort. Besides, she has been planning to go to Buenos Aires, Argentina with her lover to start a new life together far away from her family, however, she is immobilized by the fear of the unknown. She is too scared to leave Ireland, and her fear makes her see her lover as a possible source of danger: "All the seas of the world tumbled about her heart. He was drawing her into them: he would drown her". But her paralysis will cost her. Instead of an uncertain but hopeful future, she faces a certain and dismal future that may well repeat her mother's sad life story. All of us in some of our life, have felt a paralyzing fear that prevents us to following our dreams and desires.
Third Body Paragraph
Her right to happiness is what motivates her to leave Ireland and her family, Frank is who makes her feel loved, but Eveline is a girl who is used to please people around her and never herself. Leaving with him will bring unknown consequences and the knowledge of this scares her. Eveline can see the emptiness of her life and knows she must escape and be happy, but, she will never have the courage to do it. As I said before the fear of the unknown could cost our happiness, sometimes we have to make decisions that will not be the easiest ones, but they could be the ones which bring to our life love and happiness.
Conclusion
In conclusion, we could say that fear is the reason because people decided to stay living in their comfort zone, even it is full of sadness or pain. Most of the people prefers to remain in a place which make them feel comfortable and secures. In this story, we can see the ocean as a symbol of a new
