The panda or giant panda is a mammal endangered, this was considered as such by the IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, in 1996. Actually, there are less than 2,000 giant pandas worldwide of which 1600 live in the wild and others in captivity. Their nature habitat are located in China. This animals are omnivores, that’s a mean they could eat as much grass to birds or fishes, but the principal food is a bamboo, it is a 99% for their feeding. Nevertheless, they assimilated only 17% for their eaten therefore, they eat for 6 hours to day approximately 18 kilograms of bamboo. Their average of life is 20 years.

The principal cause is their reproduction. The pandas for their nature very shy animals, whence for them meet couple is very difficult, also the females only breed once a year and their babies remain with their mother until they have 3 years old. And other factor, it`s the mating happened in the sprint and the pregnancy lasts five mouths, their babies born at last days in winter where lower temperatures occur and this high of the date rate. Finally, the babies have been require to the breast milk until they have 2 years old and they need the body heat of their mothers until the first one their life.

The second cause is the lost their habitat. This happing because the people are invading this places. That is the increasing development of industries in China, they have been destroying forests in the south in China. Also, hey have been cutting bamboo trees for a long time, and this is a main food of the giant panda; and the bamboo flowers 100 years and then it died, this is why protecting this woods is the most important in this case. However, if many bamboo trees are cutting it would increase the dead rate.

Actually, they are being conducted actions to increase the population of giant pandas. Since 2005, more than 2,5 million hectares to the panda habitat are down protection of the Chinese government.
