Courses and Academic Programs

Harvard Law School (HLS) offers a legal curriculum whose breadth and depth is unmatched in legal education. The School provides both introductory and advanced courses in every major area of legal endeavor.

These varied and challenging educational programs prepare students for leadership within legal practice, the judiciary, government and other public service, academia, and business.

Continuing and Execute Education

Harvard Law School offers lawyers three opportunities for continuing education:

• Executive Education at Harvard Law School - It teaches law firm management and corporate counsel, the skills and strategies necessary to meet the unique challenges of leading their organizations.

• Harvard Negotiation Institute (Formerly known as Program of Instruction for Lawyers) - it offers workshops for lawyers and others seeking comprehensive learning in negotiation and mediation.

• Negotiation and Leadership - This three-day course is taught six times per year and examines decision-making challenges, analyzes complex negotiation scenarios, and provides a range of cooperative and competitive negotiation strategies.
