It was a hot April Sunday morning that we eventually went to school full of bags, art materials and a hat for the sun... The reason? We were taking part in the Art classes trip to Huangshan, and we, the two "laowai" in grade two, went to Hongcun with our classmates.
It seemed a great adventure for us to go on a school trip, because as our classmates study a lot, we don't often have the oportunity to spend time with them while they are not at school.
We stayed 10 students per room. Eat together, go out together, draw together and have fun together. It was pretty interesting to see and live from another perspective this part of the chinese culture. We get to know more some of our schoolmates and got to be more included in our class.
Hongcun is a relly beautiful place. The architecture is very unique and the view was proper to take many picture of it, and off couse, to draw it too. Now we have some great souvenirs from China for our families; our paiting of the ancient village.
Everyday we had a drawing routine, and after finishing it, it came the wanted spare time with our mates.
Eventhough we had to paint and draw everyday as a duty, it was fun. It is completely different to do it outdoors with a beautiful scenery; totally relaxing and enjoyable. Despite the fact that this place is a touristic attraction we where a different touristic atraction there too! Many people came to see and comment the "xiesheng"'s works, and eventualy find out a foreigner there made it a plus for them in their tour.
The six days passed very fast, we wished more days. Were amazing days, definitely, we want to repeat the experience.
