INTRODUCTION.
One of the most common controversies in regard to the production planning is needed to produce the necessary time, without excess or missing, to achieve this we need a plan, a flexible plan, a plan made to be changed, a plan that can change quickly.
Currently, if a company is not flexible enough to adapt to market changes could mean that the company will be out of competition in no time.
A production plan is influenced both externally and internally. Market conditions are constantly changing. To respond to these changes, they must be instructed constantly to the workspace.
I pursued this work is to obtain system information Kanban.
DEVELOPMENT
KANBAN
It usually equals the system just in time (JIT) or inventory control and although this terms, will work best when combined with elements of JIT as scheduling.
Kanban is based on the operation of large supermarkets and in Japanese means instricción label. That is the Kanban serves as a label work order, which is useful information to know what is going to happen and how it will carry, among other information.
It is very common association JIT or KANBAN KANBAN = INVENTORY CONTROL =, this is not true, but if it is related to these terms, KANBAN work effectively in combination with other elements of JIT, such as production scheduling by labels, good organization workspace and the production flow.
KANBAN Functions
There are two main functions of KANBAN: Production control and process improvement.
For production control means the integration of the different processes and the development of a JIT system in which materials arrive in time and amount required in the various stages of the production and, if possible including suppliers.
On the role of process improvement means facilitating improvement in the various activities of the company by using kanban, this is done by techniques (waste disposal, workplace organization, reducing set-up, use vs. machine. Use based on demand, multiprocess management, poka-yoke, mistake-proof mechanisms, preventive maintenance, total productive maintenance, etc.), reduced inventory levels.
Another function is to kanban material movement kanban label must move along with the material, if this is done correctly be achieved the following:
• 1. - Elimination of overproduction.
• 2. - Priority in production, with more importance KANBAN put others first.
• 3. - It facilitates control of the material.
IMPLEMENTATION OF KANBAN
The kanban only be implemented in businesses involving mass production or repetitive. Like any new tool implementation must begin with a commitment to business policies, in addition to which will require great commitment and knowledge of the system in the areas of production and purchasing.
It is important that the staff responsible for production, purchasing and production control system comprising a kanban will make your job easier and improve efficiency by reducing direct supervision.
Before implementing kanban production needs to be developed to smooth the current flow of material, this must be performed in the final assembly line.
Should also take into account the following considerations before implementing kanban:
1 - Determine a production scheduling systems for final assembly to develop a Systems Joint production and labeling.
2 - You must set a path that reflects kanban material flow, this implies designate places to avoid confusion in the use of materials, it should be obvious when the material is out of place.
3 - Using kanban systems is linked to small batch production.
4 - It should be noted that those items of special value should be treated different.
5 - He should have good communication from the sales department to production for those items cyclical intensive production season, so that is quite an advance alert.
6 - The kanban system must be constantly updated and improved continuously.
IMPLEMENTATION OF FOUR PHASES KANBAN
Phase 1. Train all staff in KANBAN principles, and the benefits of using kanban
phase 2. implement kanban in those with more components for ease of manufacturing problems and to highlight hidden problems. The continuous staff training on the production line.
Phase 3. Implement kanban in the other components, this should be no problem since for this operators have already seen the benefits of kanban, must take into account all the views of operators since they are the ones who know the system. It is important to inform them hen going to be working in your area.
Phase 4. This phase consists of kanban system review, reorders points and reorders levels, is important to consider the following recommendations for the proper functioning of kanban:
1. - No work should be done out of sequence
