The main cultures who made up South Africa was form by two main groups: The Bushmen, a collection of hunter-gathered tribes, and the Bantu, agrarian civilization of farmers and ranchers.
The apartheid start to affect over Hendrik who was minister of native affairs in 1950; every person in the country was soon required to be official classified by race, with non identity papers.
Nelson Mandela was a hero who defends the human rights of African people(black people). He was imprisoned for standing up against a government that was committing egregious human rights abuses against black south Africans.
Mandela belong the group of Bantu. In 1912 to fight for the rights of black people , which he joined in 1942. Mandela traveled the country promoting civil disobedience , including numerous violent actions were included . He was eventually arrested and charged with high treason
Along their 27 year at jail, Mandela and others were suffering forced labor, political prisoners were separated from common criminals and had fewer privileges. Mandela , a prisoner of the lowest group classification was only allowed one visit and a letter every six months.
In the 1970´s these ersatz nations were granted their Independence by south Africa. The Bantustan survived until 1994, when both apartheid and its bogus homelands were dissolved.

I think Mandela Change the Way of Thinking of the white race , beating before them as human beings who think and reason like everyone else.
