Crash

Crash is a movie created in 2004, which is simply the reflection of racism and cultural discrimination done by people who live in America. To explain this, they recreated different stories and situations, where different actors of the film (white people, black people, Persian people, Asian people, and Mexican people) feel discriminated by someone or discriminate somebody just because of being different, because of having other race, culture or believes.

A clear example of this is when the police (a white man), decides to stop the trayers( black people), after both people get off the car, the police get witty and exploited, and decides to do a requisition to the lady. In this uncomfortable act, the police knows the woman is black so he started touching her until making her cry because of the frustration and despair of the situation ; even though the police officer was the authority that it’s suppose to seek for justice and comply with the law, he was just being an opportunist and harnessed man. This shows the racism that the police where doing, just because the woman was black, he decides he can touch her, make her feel inferior, discriminated, segregated and make her feel she is nothing, while he is sarcastic, happy and got the power of the situation.

Another example is when Jean (a rich woman), hire a Mexican to change all the locks on her doors, because some black people stole her car and she is afraid that something might happen. So she discriminates and judges the Mexican only by his appearance, because of being part of another culture, because he is different, humble and poor, and therefore she says that he is an accomplice of thieves. This is a clear ethnic problem, because she judges the man without knowing about him, just because he was different and was part of a different culture, so she imagine that because of that he can steal her things, while he just was a kind and good man.

Finally Crash illustrates problems racism and ethnic in America, with different situations just as the ones of the black lady and Mexico man, where people are judged by their skin color or their culture, and they do feel them sad, discriminated and inferior. It is important the message of this movie, to assert people for what they have inside and respect different cultures and habits of others for having a better world.
