This is a reflection based on the book “The Hunger Games” a little bit from the movie too. I heard about the book from a friend in high school and she was hyped about the movie. I went to see it with her and our friends and I kept asking her what was going because I’ve never read the book. She recommended that I should read it and I finally did.
The book is more deep and graphic than the movie and there were some things left out. I loved the book way more because it was more specific. The story is based on the future, every year the capital of the country hosts a game where they take 2 candidates (a boy and a girl) from each district. They’re put up against each other to see who will survive and win. The thing is that they are all children from 12 to 17 years old. The story focuses on a girl named Katniss who volunteers in place of her sister and how she tries to survive this barbaric game.
Overall it’s a great book and it got me reading the sequels. I prefer the book over the movie but they’re both pretty good. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it yet.
