The future

Dear Students,

You are going to participate in a video forum discussion about the future. You can see below the steps to complete the task.

Stage 1 finishes on Thursday 22 midnight

• Answer the questions below using complete sentences and future forms – Justify your answers (say why or why not).

1. What are you going to do at the end of English 2?

1. When are you going to finish your studies at UPC?
2. Will you use English in your job?

1. Do you have plans to move to a new house/apartment soon?
2. Where will you go on vacation next summer?

1. Do you think you’ll live abroad someday?

• Post your answers in the forum under the name: About my future – (yourname).

Stage 2 finishes on Sunday 25 midnight

• Come back later and make a well thought recommendation or give a piece of advice to 2 of your classmates based on their posts and also asked them 2 questions.

Stage 3 finishes on Wednesday 28 midnight

• Record your video message using mailVU. Here a tutorial on how to use mailVU. Remember that you can record the clip as many times as you like until you are satisfied with the final version.

• Post your URL on the forum discussion under the name: My future – the video (yourname).

• The main element in this task is the video, which should be clear and 60 seconds long minimum – Speak about your plans using the answers to your questions and answer your classmates questions.

Some tips!

• Practice several times before you submit the final version.
• Try not to appear “reading” in front of the camera.

• Use a headset with a peripheral microphone for best quality audio.

• Make sure you submit the complete URL. Try to open it yourself before submitting it.
