THE EXPORTATION OF PAPRIKA
- DESCRIPTION:
The Peruvian paprika leading export products and continues being a business opportunity for many exporting companies, so that environmental conditions are favorable for prices and growing demand from European and North American market.

Peru exports paprika in three presentations : dried paprika, crushed or ground paprika and sliced paprika, therefore the product packaging must be hygienically to prevent product contamination.
In the case of dried paprika before packing must take the percentage of moisture, which must be 14% if below have problems. The packaging is done in pressed bales with polyethylene bands.
Meanwhile market requirements are based on the quality and reliability of both producers and exporters which is very important, Furthermore it is advisable to start from the field good agricultural practices, which allows to standardize and ensure the quality of production.
That is to say we must raise yields and develop relationships of trust between producers and exporters, as a result of this, the development of productive chains be encouraged, trained and prepared to successfully face the challenges of globalization.
Taking into account the demands of the market, it is also important to consider some quality standards:
• Firmness, that is, other than very soft and prevent excessive drying
• Well Formed, mean that it is not twisted, pressed or seriously damaged.
• Good color, at least 90% of its surface must have a medium red to deep, should not predominate the green on the rest of the surface.
- CONCLUSIONS:
• Peru has established itself as a potential exporter of paprika in their various presentations.
• The paprika can become one of the brightest product for exporting, it is a matter of to make up mind, attracting the interest of big investors.
• Exporters need to find new potential markets.
- SUGGESTIONS:
• The need to renew the concepts paprika production in view of competing in an international market.
• It is necessary that the state and the private sector to make efforts to promote the cultivation of this product, but using good agricultural practices.
• In view of the improvement export is also necessary to encourage research to further improve the properties of this product.
