We are writing this proposal to explain the situation about the problem that we have seen in the library here at LaSalle Oaxaca. Specifically, we would like to report the efficiency of the service of photocopies that we receive and propose several steps that may be taken to increase the quality of this service. We have surveyed the LaSalle student body, and their feedback has helped us to determine what we believe to be the most effective measures that can be taken as a community to promote a better service for the students and also teachers.
The principal situation
Based on the results of our survey, we find that a 100% of students think the photocopies service is useful but it could improve. We say this because more than a half of all students say that the quality of the photocopies is good but also say that the library staff is not efficient enough.
Factors that avoid the good service
The students say that the people that go to get photocopies, sometimes don’t respect their turn in the line and that’s no fair for them.
They also mention that the service is very slow, because there is only one person serving and otherwise there is only one machine for photocopies.
Suggestions for improving the service
We have three proposals to increase the quality of the photocopies service. First of all, we think that the school needs to buy more photocopies machines and this could help for do the service faster than now.
Secondly, we also think that the library could put a system that gives us turns to pass to get our photocopies. This will be so helpful for the organization and for do the service easier.
Finally, hiring more people would not be too bad. Some extra help will be very useful for everybody, the students will get their copies faster and the staff will be happy giving us a good service.
In our opinion, this service is very helpful for us; but we believe that the service could improve. We hope that our proposals will be considered in order to have the best quality of this service for the students.
