This paper was intended to show how great writers have attempted to prove that appearances can sometimes be deceptive. In this case, I went through three different works, Natural born killers, Much Ado About Nothing and To the lighthouse. Tarantino, Shakespeare and Woolf reflected the society of their time in their books. Curiously, I found that the topic to be analysed in the paper was indeed present in these three literature pieces. In the end, I wanted to reflect on how different realities can be hidden behind social conventions and, consequently, blind people to the truth.

There is a lot to debate and examine when it comes to talking about how deceptive appearances can be. However, learning how to edit so many ideas and focus only on what is important for a potential reader can be a real challenge.
