Update RAID SRP´s

INTRODUCCIÓN

En los equipos de Telefónica de Peru se recomienda actualizar a la versión 12.15.0-0205

Este documento indica el procedimiento a seguir para realizar la debida actualización.

REQUERIMIENTOS

• Acceso lógico asegurado a los SRP´s

IBM

• Descripción del procedimiento
• Tiempos de ejecución.
• Copias de este documento.
• Personal que realice el MOP.

Telefonica

• Personal para el desarrollo del MOP y pruebas posteriores de funcionalidades al finalizar el presente  procedimiento.

PROCEDIMIENO

1. Check if the file /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/mfi_12.15.0-0205 is present on the SPB. "ls /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/mfi_12.15.0-0205"

1a. If the ls command returns the file name then the RAID driver is present and continue from step #4

NOTE: If the file "/usr/local/sandvine/scsi/mfi_12.15.0-0205" does not exist already on the SRP element; continue at step #2, if the file does exists, proceed with step #4

2. The name of the driver downloaded is called mr2108fw.rom (attached here) and needs to be copied into /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/ and named “mfi_12.15.0205”.

mv mr2108fw.rom /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/mfi_12.15.0205

For example:

(SRP1:sv_admin)# mv mr2108fw.rom /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/mfi_12.15.0205

(SRP1:sv_admin)# cd /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/

(SRP1:sv_admin)# pwd

/usr/local/sandvine/scsi

(SRP1:sv_admin)# file mfi_12.15.0-0205

mfi_12.15.0-0205: data

3. Modify the /usr/local/sandvine/scsi/mfi_mappings file to point to the new firmware file by replacing the line starting with "9261-8i mfi_XX.XX.X-XXXX" to 9261-8i mfi_12.15.0-0205.
