Cellular phones: How they hurt us
Toward the revolution caused by the technologic advances, here I present a research which is alarming in the way we use to communicate in the daily basics. I write about the communication through the cellphones because it is changing the relationships, focusing in the problems and how we can improve it. The cellular phones have been used by teenagers deliberately, making me his only source of communication. The cellphones (commonly call) are being used to extend a conversation instead of shorten the distance which is the main purpose of the creation of the cellphones. My goal is to take awareness of the consequences of the misuse of the phones and stop using them recklessly.
In a face-to-face conversation, personal contact is shown. Personal Contact offers several advantages in a conversation: you can see the expression, feeling, reactions of the other part of the conversation. However, in a conversation through the cellular phones the problems is that it doesn’t offer the advantages of the face-to-face encounter. For example, the scientific American magazine describes a scenario “A group of friends sits down to a meal together, laughing, swapping stories, and catching up on the news – but not necessarily with the people in front of them!” (American Scientific 1). The consequences of excess of non-face-to-face conversation could lead easily to lies. Just having that phone nearby is bad enough. I have had the experience personally and that is why I am doing the call to change.
To continue the human health is another aspect of the mobile devices. These devices need a network where they can send and receive information through radio waves. The waves emitted and received could heat brain tissues, leading to cancerous and non-cancerous tumors. The scientists, experts in this area, are concerned that cell phone use causes these tumors, however it has never been proven. According to the cellular telephones article, it says “Many observers say that it will take years for scientist to reach a consensus on how dangerous cell phones are to human health” (Cell phones 1). Therefore I want to avoid years to get into your mind that cell phones should have a controlled use.
To extend the health aspect, and to introduce the distraction caused by the cellphones, there is a problem while driving and being in touch with the phone. Nowadays, it is usual to get our phone handy on the pocket, desk, table, and behind the wheel. This distraction especially in the car, has made the call to regulate the use in the government, which is a consequence of one of the leading deaths in the automobile.
In contrast, the cellular phones produce different kinds of distraction. A dilemma that is
