ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT
I am going to talk about the many problems that Rafael Correa has had in the later years. Yesterday there was a protest with a lot of people wounded and arrested. They requested changes in the new law about the laboral rules, for that reason the people started to group in some regions around the country. In Quito, they were walking for the main streets of center while Alianza Pais followers brought together in Plaza Grande.
Correa began his government in 2006.It have been many years and it may be more with him like president. He thinks he will be there a lot of years because he wants to change the regulation in the constitution. But there are many people who are against.
He began his government changing totally the assembly. In the way he has changed many things into the country. There are positive and negative things. We should review all point and then to extract our own conclusions.
For example with his government it was constructed a lot of highways around all countries. The education system has improved with the news millennium school or there exists more participation of the state in the economy. It was created news ministers. Also those is the government with more social inversion in the history.
But there are a lot problems. In this government had spent more than any other one in publicity campaigns. Corruption continues existing inside the government. The taxes has increased a lot and the class media are more affected. He has a hard character and he don’t care to insult the opposition the Saturday in his show in the morning. Yasuni´s campaign has also produced many critics around the world because Ecuador will take a risk very dangerous to lose a very important region. In addition the states expenses has increased but there hadn’t international inversion. Moreover he has been very criticized for their political right although he had kept a discourse of left.
Correa had the popular support but he has been losing it. Although he continues supporting high indexes of popularity after the defeat in the municipal elections the opposition has been winning ground. For that reason I believed that he will have to endure the most difficult period since he became president. I don’t like a lot of things he do but I have to admit that He has done stability our country but ¿Is it correct that we should mortgage the future to have a moderately good present?
