Animals In Zoos

Topic: Zoos are cruel places for animals.

Francisco: Hello Brenda. How are you?

Brenda: Last weekend I saw an announcement about the new zoo in the city...

Francisco: Oh! I heard something about it, but what's the problem?

Francisco: Yeah, last year the senators proposed a new law for animal care: “anyone who mistreats any animal will go to jail for 5 years”.

Brenda: I didn't know it, but the people really need to learn how caring animals because they have feelings like any person, and the zoo is not a good place for them.

Francisco: You’re right! Animals don't deserve to live in these conditions. It’s very sad to see the animals in the zoo suffer and how they could live in better places.

Brenda: We should try to speak with the police about the problem.

Francisco: But, if the police don’t listen to us?

Brenda: We could use the civil power.

Francisco: How?

Brenda: I have decided to campaign on animal care and you might support me with the promotion.

Francisco: Of course, count of me. We could begin in the schools and might be in some malls.

Brenda: Yes, it is an amazing idea. If the people don’t see de problem, I’ll try to open her eyes.

Francisco: You sound like a hero… but you right, the animals deserve respect like any other and the zoo is not a good place for them.

Brenda: I know, zoos are cruel places for animals. We could have to finish this situation as soon as possible!
