Chocoflan is a Mexican dessert that has become one of the favorites in almost every Mexican family; also called Pastel Imposible (Impossible Cake). Preparing to make Chocoflan requires a lot of ingredients and materials. Getting into a favorite convenience store it’s the first step of this process, looking up for the right materials and ingredients it’s the second step. There are a lot of cake mix brands, but one of the bests it’s between Betty Crocker and Duncan Hines, but the favorite’s for this dessert it would be Duncan Hines for the chocolate cake. The flan requires some ingredients easy to find, starting with a can of condensed milk, a can of evaporated milk, 8oz. of Philadelphia cream cheese, 5 fresh eggs and some vanilla essence. For the measuring part, It’s needed 2 bowls, 1 wooden spoon, whipping spatula, a measuring cup, a whisk, a medium baking pan and finally, a large baking pan.
Getting all the correct ingredients and materials can make these steps easier to follow. After setting everything in the kitchen, you’re going to have to preheat the oven before starting to prepare the ingredients and mixes, at 375° F for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, put the cake mix in one of the bowls and follow the instructions on the back of the box, sometimes it says that it’s needed just water and vegetable oil, but it’s better using milk instead of water. So, take the measuring cup and pour into the bowl with the cake mix a cup of milk; after that, add 3 eggs and mix with the whisk till it gets creamy and smooth.
Then, into the medium baking pan, add some cajeta (goat milk) covering the bottom of it. Once it’s done, add the chocolate cake mix into the baking pan.
To make the flan, pour into the 2nd bowl, 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence, a can of evaporated milk, 1 can of condensed milk, 1/3 cup of regular milk, 5 eggs, 8oz. of cream cheese and mix well. After it’s done, pour the flan mix into the medium baking pan with the chocolate cake in mix in it. It doesn’t matter if the cake mix and the flan mix together, at the end, the cake is going to go up and the flan it’s going to go down. In the large baking pan, add some boiled water and put the medium baking pan in it. Put both baking pans into the oven and bake at 375° F for 1 hour and a half.
