Concha de Perla
Concha de Perla is a beautiful tourism site that is localized in Isabela Island, close to the main dock, where you can a wooden pathway leading to this amazing place. A short walk through the mangroves takes you to a shallow bay perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Snorkeling through the bay it’s common to see lots of fish, playful sea lions and the occasional Galapagos Penguin. It is used by locals as a place for swimming and snorkeling. From Laguna Concha y Perla can see the Turtle Islet, the Widow and part of the Lobería Grande.Coming here on a hot day is the perfect way to cool off and can enjoy with your family and friends.
Flora: Consisting of wetlands with unique landscape features due to the presence of mangroves formed by red mangrove, black mangrove, white mangrove and mangrove bud, along with endemic cacti species such as the candelabrum and tuna.
Fauna: This place allows us to appreciate sea lions, penguins, frigates, see turtles, fish, white-tipped reef sharks, penguins and many birds more.
Attractions:
- Snorkeling: It is a cozy place where own and visitors can enjoy the surface diving, snorkeling or simply swimming in its calm and crystalline waters.
- Hikes: Take a walk along the wooden path that leads to Concha de Perla Bay. This trail path was built by the Galapagos National Park between the mangroves.
