Does the media cause violence?
Nowadays, violence has a principal and sad role in our society. The government, which is supposed to be the “example to follow”, is always looking for a reason to start a new war. Every year, around 740.000 people die because of the armed violence, that is a very significant quantity, is not it? Well, for many people, some of this violence is generated by the media. They think that young people will always imitate what they see on TV, or what they listen on the lyrics of a song. There are a lot of cases in which some artist were blamed for causing violence in murderers or other kinds of criminals. But, is it truth? Other part of the society thinks that media really relaxed and it is a good way to come apart from the stress. So, which one is the right point of you?

Indeed, those are principal reasons because some people think that media is a culprit of violence.

They argue violence has always been part of us, the humans, and we had fought and killed each other for insignificant things as the skin colour or the belief on the different gods; and many of these situations happened when media didn’t exist or it wasn’t developed yet. They also affirm that violence is just a human emotion; it means that a person reacts according to how they are feeling, regardless of external factors. There are a lot of testimonies in which people say that they have always played violent videogames and they are completely peaceful; it is like the games do not have the power to change their feelings.
Some of these people think the media is use more to spread peace than violence. They want the TV, magazines and other means of communications to hear to their opinions and claims; it is consider a quickly and efficient solution for problems which affects a group of people. As there are singers who are considered “violent”, there are singers who are considered “peaceful”; a few
