Objective:

Is to write what you would be if you were a superheroes, what would be your powers and for what would you use. Using the second conditional and the grammar structure for “wish” to make your description.

Procedure:

Imagine you want to be super hero and you are making a list of the things you wish you could do. Write a paragraph where you describe what kind of superhero you would like to be, describe yourself physically and your powers.

Example: I wish I were a superhero, my name would be Super Amazing Boy. If I could fly, I would save the people from ……

Results:

I wish I were a superhero, my name would be Wonder Xtina I would be a shapeshifter. I'd use this power to change into animals and to change my face to keep my identity secret. I wouldn't need to wear a mask. I'd also have energy vampire type abilities, being able to drain people at a distance until they pass out and being able to manipulate people by similar means. I'd have enhanced strength after draining someone, and of course enhanced senses all the time and I'd fly. if I were a super-hero, I'd work out of a tower somewhere with a computer layout to rival the Batcave. I'd operate mostly at night but I would work covertly during the day, or just spend the day researching whatever's relevant at the time. I'd make it my life's work to save people and make the world a little better and I'd probably get very little sleep. Of course I'd need financial backing somehow, but I wouldn't quite be rich like Bruce Wayne or Oliver Queen, just enough that I don't have to work. Maybe I'd write books and live off that, while fighting crime in secret.

Conclusion:

All these exercise will help you to communicate using more grammatical structures and vocabulary linking everything you learn in the past with what you will learn.
