Lesson Planning
AIM: Students will learn Interrogative Form of Verb TO BE.
Topic: Interrogative Sentence.
Vocabulary and Expressions: Professions, Personal Information, Nationalities.
Grammar Point: Interrogative Form - Verb to be (am, is, are) + Subject + Complement +?
Skills Development: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
Social Cultural Activity: Individual Work: Comprehension of the Topic.
Materials: Cards, Pictures, Color Chalks, Board and Posters.
Introduction: We will introduce ourselves and we will teach the interrogative and short answers form of verb to be. Then, we will ask students if they know and understand the interrogative form of verb to be.
Time: 7 to 10 minutes.
Presentation of the Topic: We will begin the class with an oral explanation about the interrogative form of verb to be. Then, as a first activity we will interact with our and their personal information as a way to integrate the use of verb to be in interrogative form. Secondly, we will give several sentences in the blackboard where children will put the words into the correct order. As a thirdly activity we will show some flash cards and students write in the blackboard and their folders.
Reinforcement: As an oral activity we will interact with vocabulary of nationalities in affirmative, negative and interrogative forms of verb to be as a conclusion of the theme of verb to be.
