We are respectfully submitting this application for a U.S. Passport for the above named applicant pursuant to the Child Citizenship Act of 2000, Immigration and Nationality Act § 320, et. seq., which allows certain foreign born children of U.S. citizens to acquire U.S. citizenship automatically at the time they enter the United States as lawful permanent residents (LPRs).
The child must meet the following requirements:
• Have at least one American citizen parent by birth or naturalization;
• Be under 18 years of age;
• Live in the legal and physical custody of the American citizen parent; and
• Be admitted as an immigrant for lawful permanent residence.
As such, we are respectfully submitting this following documentation:
• Applicant’s Birth Certificate with certified English translation;
• The Applicant’s permanent residency card (I-551 Card);
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship of parent, Maria Concepcion Rangel Rosas;
• Passport application DS-11, passport photographs and fees of $165.
We respectfully request you issue a United States Citizenship Passport for Adrian Rivera Rangel, as he is a United States Citizen upon his admission for permanent residency, as of June 21, 2001. Should you require additional documentation, feel free to contact this office directly.
