The simple present, we use it to express general action that happens in the present
subject + verb (base form) + complement
Example
I drive a car Subject (i) + verb (drive) + Complement (a car )
You win the game Subject (you) + verb (win) + complement (the game)

Present continuous
We use the present continuous to express actions that are happening right now
subject + verb to be + action verb-ing + complement
Example
We are playing basketball Subject ( we)+ To be (are) + Action verb -ing (playing) + complement (basketball)
She is cooking a cake Subject (she) + To be (is) + Action verb-ing (cooking) + Complement (basketball)

Simple Past
we use it to express action that happened in the past and express an action that is complete
Subject + verb in past tense + complement
Example
They studied maths and Spanish Subject (they) + verb in past tense (studied) + complement (maths and Spanish)
Dad watched a movie yesterday Subject (Dad) + verb in past tense (watched) + complement (a movie yesterday)
