The following questions will help to get you started in the creation and writing of your proposal. Try to relate your proposal to the University of Puerto Rico in Utuado, Utuado or Puerto Rico in General. Answer the following questions:
- What is the name of the company did you decide to research? Is the company found in Puerto Rico?
The name of the company that I decided to research is Kellogg Company. Yes, Kellogg's have administrative offices and warehouses in Cataño, Puerto Rico.
- What issues does the company address?
Nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
- Find out if they list everything. If not, why not and what are the activities not listed?
- What are not yet doing and that is within their scope of social or community issues and that would enhance their company image and their standing in the community or in the world (if it is an International Company).
- What particular event, charity or issue do you think they should get involved with (statistics, issues, reasons), so that you can justify why they should cooperate with the proposed social responsibility in order to be able to develop your argument.
- Making a claim (identifying why the proposed social responsibility project will be beneficial for the Company or Organization) and justify it -- and then argue that (although some things may have been done in this area) the work is far from being complete. If possible, make a claim that can benefit the university, Utuado or Puerto Rico in general.
- Overview what the references you have found have had to say about the problem or issue.
- Who has contributed to this social responsibility in the past?
- What is already known about it? Who are the key “conversants” regarding this issue?
- What have they said (brief overview). Give them an idea or ideas on how you are proposing they could help.
- Identify what has not been done yet about the problem. What aspect of the problem has not been addressed?
- What do you propose they do? Make a (brief) statement about the action you would like the company to take to address this issue and how they could help.
- State the reasons why you believe addressing this issue is important. What do you hope they contribute with?
